The latest episode of Strategies 64’s Weed Wonks podcast features Dominique Mendiola, senior director of the Marijuana Enforcement and Natural Medicine divisions of the Colorado Department of Revenue, as well as president of the Cannabis Regulators Association (CANNRA). She joins S64 managing partner Jordan Wellington for an in-depth discussion about cannabis policy and implementation of the Colorado Natural Medicine Program.
The conversation covers a lot of ground, including the influence a decade of legal cannabis has had on cannabis policy, how policymakers have become more data-driven, and how Colorado’s experience with legal cannabis is shaping its approach to regulating natural medicine.
Jordan Wellington to discuss regulation of high-concentrate THC products at Cannabis Regulators Association event
Strategies 64 partner Jordan Wellington is headed to the Cannabis Regulators Association 2024 External Stakeholder Meeting in Minneapolis this week, where he will be featured on a panel regarding “Regulatory Approaches to Address Public Health Concerns About High Concentration THC Products.”
The panel, which will be moderated by New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission Chief of Staff Jesus Alcazar, will also feature Carnegie Mellon University Professor Jonathan Caulkins, NORML Political Director Morgan Fox, and Henny Lasley of One Chance to Grow Up.
CANNRA holds the annual stakeholder meeting to “bring together a diverse array of national and international stakeholders in cannabis and cannabinoid policy, representing a range of perspectives and opinions, to engage in discussions with its member regulators and other attendees on cannabis and cannabinoid regulatory and policy topics.”
